Easter biscuits/Des petits biscuits pour Pâques

🇬🇧 My little 4 year old was really poorly this week with such high fever. When the ibuprofen kicked in she often had a phase when she felt slightly better and needed entertainment. I suggested a bit of baking action and the sight of bunny rabbit shaped biscuit tempted her. Sadly I don’t have the rabbit cookie cutter but I shall order some soon as they are so cute – see here

A haunting voice/Une voix envoutante

🇬🇧 She looks like a cross between the singer Sia and her dancer Maddie Ziegler, who you will have seen in so many of the singer’s videos or live performances on shows on TV. As a result, her face didn’t really catch my attention at first.

Cauliflower gratin wonder/L’imbattable gratin de choux-fleur

🇬🇧I am not a massive fan of plain cooked cauliflower. I love it raw with a nice fromage frais and chives sauce to nibble on, I love it in soup with some nice cumin but cooked, I find it sometimes a bit strong. However I love it in gratin and I have found a delicious recipe (tried and tested for you) that I would like to share with you. The kids even love it (all 3 of them!).

Ode to Uniqlo/Une Ode a Uniqlo

They are certain countries that have a reputation for always getting it right in certain fields: Germany and cars and home appliances, France with food, Italy with fashion, Belgium for chocolate….and then there is Japan with Uniqlo.

Il a des pays qui se font des réputations en béton: l’Allemagne pour tous ses produits éléctromenagers et voitures, la France et sa bonne bouf, l’Italie pour sa mode et le cuir, la Turquie pour ses tissus….et puis il y le Japon avec Uniqlo.
