A little icy treat/Une petite douceur glacée

🇬🇧 I still remember with great fondness our trip to Greece when, while in Santorini with l’Homme pre kiddos we had 8 consecutive days without seing a single cloud…how blissful was that….

Enjoying my local area/Profitons de nos quartiers

🇬🇧 It’s always so tempting to head to exotic places and only get excited at the sight of new amazing sites. I love travelling with an enormous passion but I think it’s important not to take for granted what we have got, sometimes on our doorstep.

That said, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to head to one of my local Farmers’ markets. The market is situated in Barnes, a very charming part of London (south west). The Farmers’ market is more a group of gourmet and delicatessen sellers but good fun nonetheless. I wanted to practise my photography more, capture colourful scenes and I was not disappointed.

I made my way from our place on foot keen to enjoy a good stroll and look around me. I love all those colourful doors in the UK, it really brightens the landscape, especially since the weather is not always that good. All the roses seem in bloom so it’s a nice sight all around.

Italy part 1 – A trip to the Umbrian hills/Un voyage dans les collines d’Ombrie

🇬🇧 Last August we all received from my Mother in law an invitation to a big family get together to celebrate 2 special family dates. My parents in law decided to hire a big villa (they have 6 kids (+ partners) and 11 grandchildren!) to welcome everyone for the reunion in a spot nobody had visited before and they chose the medieval village of San Gemini in the Umbrian hills. I was so chuffed to visit Italy again, it had been too long since we last went to that beautiful country. Umbria is situated 1h30 north of Rome and is not yet as popular or touristy as Tuscany can be.
