I have made no secret I like looking feminine. I may not always be able to be bang on trend or be the coolest girl on the block but, with age, I just try to find my own style. I have always loved the addition of frills on certain pieces of clothing so what a treat it is fashionable this season. What it means is that there are tonnes of cute clothes with frills this summer in the shops & online.
I found 2 super cute tops in H&M which I picked up in white as they can mix so easily with most of my bottoms. Obviously, the advantage of H&M is affordable prices for clothes. I popped into one of my nearby H&M stores in London as I still like to try on a few things especially since H&M sizing is a tad confusing, I often end up buying small or even extra small for tops when I am a good size 10 so if I buy online I never know whether I will pick the right fit for me.
I paid £12.99 for it and you can buy online here or use the H&M app for ease. It also comes in light blue (so cute!!), light pink and light yellow.
Since the cost of this first tee shirt was not going to break the bank I decided I could cheekily put on another top in my basket. I went for a sleeveless number this time. We have just been through a pretty intense heatwave and it may be that, now it’s over we may freeze our socks off for the rest of the summer but hey…
When it’s hot it’s essential to have a few good sleevelss tops but I am fed up of old boring basics. This one is ribbed and really confortable. Major bonus, it does not move up to display your middrift (which I hate with passion….my tummy having been stretched 3 times is not my favourite part of my body)
You can find it online by clicking on this link. It costs £17.99 and comes in lilac and yellow too.
My pink midi pleated skirt from Boohoo.com has been a winner and I am so pleased I am finally getting a chance to wear it more often. I wrote a blog post about it earlier this year which you can read here. The bonus about this skirt: it washes well even at 30 degrees and does not need ironing (hurray!!).
My beautiful black sandals are from the famous St Tropez sandals maker Rondini. This was a bit of an extravagant birthday present from l’Homme back 5 years ago but the quality is so good they still look amazing and they are such classic too that I am not getting bored of wearing them summer after summer. Check them out, it’s proper artisan work worth the investment if you want my opinion. Check their collection out here: http://rondini.fr/en/
