Hello all! We once again spent a big chunk of the school summer holidays in Brittany with my family. I have been going to Brittany for more than 30 years and the older I get the more I appreciate all the good things this area of France has to offer.
Here I would tell you why I find this region so special and why you must add this destination to your bucket list. Continue reading
Hi all!/Bonjour a tous!
I wasn’t able to post last week, too much to do with the end of the school year not to mention packing for the family for our long summer in France. I am intending to use a large part of the summer to fall in love with taking care of myself: mind, body, spirit.
I am sure I will burst at some point to share some of the beautiful sceneries I see here in Brittany (West of France) but at the present time, I hope you will excuse me but I might be a bit quiet on this blog.
Hope you all have a wonderful summer. I will be back!
🇬🇧 We have been so spoilt in Brittany over the last few weeks, the weather has been amazing. Those of you who know this part of the world know that even in summer sunshine is not always guaranteed several weeks in a row (and not even several days in a row;) but we have loved every minute of it.
🇬🇧 When I was a youngster, my parents offered me the chance to try horse riding. I still remember that very first lesson when I cried with fear holding the horse harness into the grounds and shouting ‘oho’ to the horse thinking it would stop moving right away. After those first few hard sessions, I started enjoying horse riding.
🇬🇧 There is in our part of Brittany a little gem I would like you to find out: it’s called the Glenan Archipelago and it’s one of my little paradises. Last time we visited it was way too long ago and L’homme and I decided to convince the whole family to head down there for the day.
Hello all! We are on holiday and back to the mother land which feels so good. We headed to Brittany (West of France) where I love spending a big part of my summer.
🇬🇧 I have something I need to face: I am slightly obsessive with Breton stripes. No matter how many Breton tops I have got, every time I shop I seem to be attracted to all things stripey. I seem to stock up every now and then.
Brittany in winter can be, like lots of places, a bit dull as nature is so bare. There is something about being by the sea though that makes it still a really nice refreshing destination.
We were lucky this Christmas to have good weather – considering all the floodings taking place in the UK – and super mild temperatures (we’re talking 15/16 degrees celsius!). We made the most of it and went for lots of nice walks by the seafront and on the beach.
My boy getting lots of fresh air
Brittany – West of France is a super beautiful and still quite wild place. This summer, I got a chance to see one of my old friends getting ready to kite surf. It was really fascinating to see how he prepared his gear and got on. He looked like he was flying over the waves, stunning! This pic was taken early afternoon as the wind was perking up at one of our favourite beaches.
Just a fine morning to go on a coastal walk with my Spanish bestie. The Brittany coast (West of France) is beautiful in all kind of weather but the calm of the sea made me feel good inside.
