2 excellent exhibitions to visit in South Kensington

Some people find exercising a good way to unwind and I like that too but my joy when I get a moment is to enjoy London’s cultural scene.

I have had the chance to visit 2 great exhibitions in South Kensington (southwest London) where 2 of London’s best museums are based: The Victoria & Albert Museum and the National and History museum.

Agghhh, this week was challenging. I came down with flu at the weekend. I assumed it was just a bad cold and did not alter my plans last Saturday but then after returning from a nice Fashion exhibition at Somerset House I started shaking like a leaf and the fever started kicking in….Sunday was spent in bed and I was on paracetamol non stop to cope with the first half of my week.  Anyway I am thankfully on the mend now!

A photo exhibition and THAT incredible smile/Une expo photo et CE sourire éblouissant

There are certain exhibitions I love going year after year. I always trot to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition with my pal Julie which rarely disappoints. But I love portrait photography and the Taylor Wessing Portrait Exhibition always calls my attention. Looking at a face and feeling the emotions, the story behind the face can be truly inspirational at times.

This year, I was absolutely gobsmacked by one of the photos.
