8 reasons why you should visit Brittany

Hello all! We once again spent a big chunk of the school summer holidays in Brittany with my family. I have been going to Brittany for more than 30 years and the older I get the more I appreciate all the good things this area of France has to offer.

2 fantastic shops you must visit next time you are in Paris

During my last Paris visit, I was able to visit a couple of shops I had been wanting to discover by myself for a long time. Sometimes I struggle to become fully excited about a place until I visit it and see it with my own eyes. However, having visited these 2 shops now, I can assure you, you won’t be disapointed!

Never doubt it, Paris is always a good idea!

I was lucky enough 2 weeks ago to return to my beloved hometown of Paris. With the arrival of our youngest and the busy life that turned out to be when you have 3 kids, I had not had a chance to visit this beautiful city in 3 long years. Finally, the stars aligned and I was able to spend a gorgeous 3-day weekend ➡️beware, this a photo filled post 😉!

A charming Normand stop over in Honfleur/ Pause de charme normande à Honfleur

🇬🇧 This year we decided to travel back and forth from London (UK) to Brittany (West of France) where we spend our summer holiday by car with a crossing with Eurotunnel (as opposed to taking the ferry or a flight). Since the journey is pretty darn long to get to Brittany (it’s about 7h from Calais without stop!) we decided to stop overnight in Rouen on the way down but for the journey back home we opted to stop by in the charming port of Honfleur. When we lived in Northern France with my folks we used to drive through Honfleur, get a bite there and get back in the car fairly quickly afterwards. This time l’Homme and I decided to stop over and do a little explore. It was well worth a visit I’m telling you!

🇬🇧 When I was a youngster, my parents offered me the chance to try horse riding. I still remember that very first lesson when I cried with fear holding the horse harness into the grounds and shouting ‘oho’ to the horse thinking it would stop moving right away. After those first few hard sessions, I started enjoying horse riding.

Visit to one of the Breton paradises/Visite à un petit paradis breton

🇬🇧 There is in our part of Brittany a little gem I would like you to find out: it’s called the Glenan Archipelago and it’s one of my little paradises. Last time we visited it was way too long ago and L’homme and I decided to convince the whole family to head down there for the day.
